This is a great, the background is awesome. I loved the game also, but that girl... I mean damn, I just wanted to throw her off the cliff and go ahead by myself.

Oh hell yes. That game rocked my socks too, as did its spiritual successor Shadow of the Colossus.

Hell yeah! I loved Shadow of the Colossus and am working on a drawing of that too.

the low angle from which this is drawn really works to make it all the more dramatic, amplifying the feeling of the shadow-y creatures swooping down on ico and yadora (or however you spell it). it's made all the more intense by the body language of the two charaters, what with the way they're gripping on another's hands. his firm stance contrasts with her more tentyivite pose, something that pretty much reflects the gamepaly.

another contrast is between the fact that they're antagonizers are pitch black while the two charaters are pridominaly white, something that helps polarize these two groupes. the compleat lack of outline on the shadow-y creates and the way they seem to melt into themselves at any point where their bodies overlap adds to the sense of them being these in substancial creatures and though they may look frail, the jagged horns, claws and wings give them a threatening air.

I loooved Ico. It's one of those games that I'll never get rid of. Even though I've beaten it a coupl eof times. Same way with Shadow of the Colossus. Awesome job on the pic! x 2
