This is the artwork originally done for the DVD cover for Wonder Woman. I drew the character art. Hye-jung Kim painted the character art as well as added some atmosphere to the over all piece. The background was designed and drawn by Jevon Bue, and painted by Wei Zhao.....or his wife Chun Liu. They're both so darn good it'd make it a lot easier for me to tell their work apart if one of them sucked a little more.
Then we sent it off to Home video where the sky was changed to sunny daylight..... which prompted Bruce to give them some strong words, so they then changed it back to the more red sky. But it never looked quite the same. They paled up Wonder Woman's skin making her look rather unhealthy and insisted we put lines around her lips, which ended up being way too dark..... but let's not think about that. The point is, THIS is what it should have looked like.
On a happier note, for me at least, Wonder Woman got #1 on IGN's top 10 straight to DVD animated movies.
My one prob with the pic is the shadow on Wonder Woman's right thigh that is close to her panties. I know why the shadow is there, but at the same time, it makes it look as if the panties are loose, rather than tight, causing it too seem as if it was lifting up. Get what I mean?
It looks like they also removed the majority of the characters in the background and replaced the lower fliers on the left with a copy of the one at the top. What gives?
This cover is absolutely ten times better than what they did to it, the pale skin just doesn't work for her at all.
I have suffered the "change that, take it off, put those thing here", that usually ends working agains the quality of the original job. My first comic book cover was ruined because of that... This one looks great!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
